Journal Entry – Dec 26th

We have a Christmas party at home tonight. Friends will flock the place, the christmas tree is all lit up, yesterday Futchu and me baked lots of goodies. We baked Cupcakes, chocolate fudge, cinnamon rolls, bread pudding etc. (Not to worry, recipes will come down shortly)

We will order food from outside and chip in. That sounds like fun !! Maybe we will do Pizza or Chipotle. Whatever it is I am sure that it will be great fun.

I have to come to office today. Migration is in a week and all hands are on the project. Frankly I believe that we need more hands !! Whatever, one more week to go.

Better late than never – Merry Christmas / Happy Hanukah everybody !! Happy Holidays ~

Typography

To break the monotony of work and to get inspired, I sarted reading the typographic articles of Smashingmagazine. Here’s one that I have read long back and still think that it is one of the best posts in Smashing.

Check out the typographic posters. It’s awesome and definitely inspiring. I hope to use some of these in upcoming design challenges. Should be particularly helpful if the blog project that I have been planning goes as planned. After all Blogs are textual representation of your thoughts and good typography can breathe “life” into it.

Today Dec 23rd

It’s been a hectic day today so far.

Not only for me, but for the whole migration group. There has been meetings, more meetings, style changes etc. The worst part is that I still donot have access to fedstage01. Frustates me totally.

But that’s the way it is. I never whine for what is not there or for the work related stress and I will not do so now. It’s just the way it is.

I am trying to deal with one thing at a time. That’s the mantra – One thing at a time ~ move on to the next ~ one thing at a time. Donot multitask, multitasking reduces your productivity. And somebody told right, there is no such thing as multitasking, because your brain doesnt work like a quad core, it thinks about just one thing at a time.

So follow your brain and tackle one at a time. Way to go ~

Tarara Winery – Wine stamping

Last Summer (2008)

It was a day full of fun and excitement as the whole group bundled off to Tarara Winery in VA for some wine tasting. To our utter surprise, there was wine stamping as well ~ We two loved it !!

Here’s a pic from that day.

This event increased my desire to go to some vineyard in Italy and do the same !! Someday hopefully
