Hurray it’s a girl. Here’s her pic sucking her thumb.
One of the most exciting days in both our lives. We have an appointment with the doctor today at 1:15 PM for our 20th week ultrasound. At first we were confused if we should find out the gender of the baby or if we should keep it a surprise. But our own curious hearts gave in and we decided we would.
He says it’s a Girl and I feel it’s a Boy.
Although it really dose’nt matter to both of us. All that matters is to have a healthy and happy baby. Our friends have betted on the gender too. Every one is waiting anxiously for the results. Maa, had called yesterday night and I could feel how excited she was. She had miscalculated the date and thought we already knew. Oh! how I wish they all could be here today.
The question remains…..
or
Keeping our fingers crossed.
We went for our 16th week appointment yesterday. As excited and eager we were to see the little one, we were also a bit tensed to know if everything was fine. Amazingly, it seemed that the baby was also equally excited to know that it was being watched. I am calling the baby ‘it’ here coz’ we still don’t know if it’s a girl or a boy. It kept moving inside of me and we both watched with astonishment. We could see the litle hands move, who knows, maybe it was trying to say ‘HI’ to us. It was a moment of inexpressible joy to see our bundle of joy move around inside of me. Although I still don’t feel any movements, I am waiting for the moment.
The baby is now around 4.5 inches long from head to rump. It’s about the size of an avocado.
Hate this mixed feeling of anger, frustration and gloominess. Maybe this is just a reflection of the gloomy weather outside, or maybe it’s the changing hormones. They say Pregnancy brings a lot of mood swings and weepiness. Guess that’s true.
Here’s a new recipe that I created yesterday. I am sure someone somewhere must have tried making this. But, for our entire family back in Guwahati it was quite a new experience of combining spinach and ‘mushoor dal’ (red lentils). So, this recipe is a must try for both our Mom’s. We both did enjoy the meal yesterday.
